Alejandro Stipanicic
President, ANCAP and Honorary Chair
Alejandro is the President of ANCAP since March 2020, and since 2022 he is also President of ARPEL. Stipanicic is an Industrial Engineer, he has an MBA, with experience in industrial, logistics and service companies from Argentina and Uruguay. He also has experience in public offering, compliance, development of alliances and change.
Stipanicic has 33 years in ANCAP in different leadership positions such as Head of Management Control, Business Development Manager, Business Manager in Argentina. He was also Director of subsidiary companies such as CARBOCLOR, CABA, PetroUruguay, Cementos del Plata and ANCSOL, and Head of the Executive Committee, Petrolera del Conosur S.A.
Fernanda Raggio
Vice President of Exploration, YPF
Fernanda graduated as Geologist from Universidad de Buenos Aires, and joined YPF in 1998, where she worked in exploratory projects both onshore and offshore Argentina, and international New Ventures projects in Uruguay, Guyana and Suriname.
Before her current position, she was VP of Upstream Conventional E&P, Exploration Executive Manager and Technical Disciplines Manager. She participated in Management programs at the IAE Business School, Di Tella and San Andrés universities.
She currently leads the teams carrying out the exploration of the basins Offshore Argentina and Uruguay, the Subandean foothills of Bolivia, unconventional exploration of the Vaca Muerta and Palermo Aike shale plays, and Lithium Exploration.
Victor Vega
VP Exploration, Development and Reserves, Frontera Energy
Geologist graduated from the National University of Colombia and later pursued a master's degree in Geophysics from the University of South Carolina. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, he has a vast knowledge and understanding of his field.
Before assuming his current role as VP of Exploration and Development of Reservoirs and Reserves at Frontera Energy, where he is responsible for leading the company's portfolio of assets in Colombia, Ecuador, and Guyana, Victor worked in various technical and managerial positions at well-known companies in the sector, such as Amoco, BP, Talisman, and Shell.
In addition to his professional achievements, Victor is also an active member of the AAPG in Latin America and the Caribbean, where he holds leadership roles.
Al-Hajri Sa’id
AAPG Vice President for International Regions
Sa’id is the Director for the Geological Operations Department. A past president of Dhahran Geoscience Society, Past President of the AAPG Middle East Region, and currently AAPG VP Regions. Sa’id holds an MSc from Penn State University, and an MBA from Hull University, in addition to a number of Leadership Certifications.
During his 35+ years of service with Saudi Aramco, Sa’id has held several Management positions in Saudi Aramco’s Exploration Organization, including Chief Geologist of Regional Mapping, Chief Geologist of Geological R&D, Administrator of Exploration Data Management, Chief Explorationist for Eastern Area Exploration, and Director for Upstream Ventures Department. In 2020 received both the AAPG Distinguished service & honorary member awards.
Sa’id is a Board Member of Luksar, a joint venture between Lukoil Overseas and Saudi Aramco.
